The Resilience a Leader Shows

Without exception, one character trait every true leader must possess is that of resilience. Resilience implies both strength and flexibility.

According to Merriam-Webster, “resilience” means the ability to become strong, healthy, or successful again after something bad happens, or the ability of something to return to its original shape after it has been pulled, stretched, pressed, or bent.

When God stirs your heart for a righteous cause, He expects you to step out in faith and take action. However, many leaders stumble over Satan’s three big obstacles of doubt, discouragement, and distractions.

In our text, Nehemiah and his people had stepped out in faith to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, but obstacles quickly surfaced.
